My name is Chris Horton Co-owner and Arborist Of Mid Valley Tree Care. I have been in the tree care industry since 2012 and worked for multiple companies on both the residential and commercial sides of the industry. Tree work is as much my passion as raising a family. 
I started out working in the Line Clearance industry where I completed a 2 year apprenticeship in order to obtain a Journeyman level education and skill set to work with trees and vegetation management around high voltage powerlines. During this process I learned to be able to safely prune and remove trees from healthy to completely dead all while working in close proximity to highly energized conductors. I have been out on countless storm call situations and had to safely remove storm damaged trees in all types of weather conditions, where I have often worked tirelessly through the night in order to complete the job. I have operated lifts ranging from 40ft all the way up to 125ft and have climbed trees that range all the way up to 160ft. 
During the past 11 years in the tree care industry I have been a Foreman of both Residential and Line clearance crews. My work on the Residential side of the industry has led to jobs both large and complex to small and simple. I have removed compromised trees over structures, houses, fences and utility installations. I have removed hazardous trees that were dead or compromised from fires, beetles, ice and snow storms, wind storms and flood damage. I obtain the skill set to prune or remove any tree. This includes, climbing and rigging, tree felling, bucket trucks and other equipment use to get the job done.
